A magnificent 19th-century French mantel clock dating to the 1860s , attributed to Vincenti of Paris , and an exceptional example of the ornate craftsmanship and refined decorative taste of the Second Empire period.
The clock features a striking combination of black and richly veined green marble , embellished with finely cast gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts .
